Is there a workout that does not require weight sets or machines that will train every muscle?

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

I’m looking for good workouts [pushups, crunches, pullups, etc] that don’t necessarily require weights that will still train these muscles

Abdominals
Arms
Back
Biceps
Calves
Chest
Forearms
Glutes
Hamstrings
Lats
Legs
Neck
Quadriceps
Shoulders
Traps
Triceps

Gymnastics.

Looking for a workout schedule for me to get back into shape?

Monday, June 28th, 2010

I’m trying to get toned and back in shape this summer, but am having a hard time planning out what I will do each day. I hope to do a variety of things in my workout, and have a lap pool and a gym available to me. Basically I’m looking for a weekly schedule I can use to get back in shape, that will strengthen my legs, abdominals, and overall make me much more in-shape and healthy. Thanks.

you should pick maybe like 4 days a week and alternate doing swimming/ toning using no equipment, just simple things you can do at home like abs and squats etc
the other days then go to the gym or go outside and run and use like weight machines etc

good luck!

what to do before and after any workout?

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

I try to work out about 3 to 4 times a week and id like to know wat to do before and after my workouts. the kind of warm up or cool down exercises that will help and also the kinds of food that i should eat too. i wanna know the kinds of food that will help me workout longer and also get better results. id really appreciate some good advice n info thnks
* i do many kinds of workouts such as upper body abdominals n lower body

Before: Stay hydrated.
Eat some complex carbs (like pasta or bread)
Do Dynamic Stretches (like arm windmills or trunk twists)

After: do Static stretches (toe touches, yoga poses…)
Eat something with a lot of protein (like chocolate milk, hardboiled eggs, peanut butter, protein shake, bugs…)
Drink water
Take a shower.

The foods that will give you fuel to workout longer are your carbohydrates. The foods to repair and build your muscle are your proteins.
